Exit Alerts & Turning Them Off

Browser exit alerts are controlled by each unique browser (i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc). Those alerts and their format are independent from our exit alert / exit pop code. Meaning the exit alert code can be removed in it's entirety or if the exit alert is in place the browser will activate it's built in behavior. For some browsers this built in behavior is an exit alert and then a confirmation and for others a confirmation and then an alert and for others yet two different alerts.

If you need to remove, turn off or have exit alert activation delayed you can use the following instructions in most cases by adding a parameter to the end of your affiliate link. Here are some examples:

TURN EXIT POP'S OFF:
Add: exit=
And any of these: hide | no | n | 0 | false
Action: Disables exit popup for the VSL page
Channels: TAO, WTS, GER, HTMDW

Example Affiliate Link (NO EXIT):

DELAY EXIT POP'S:
Add: ed=
And: any value greater than 0
Action: Delays exitpopup to be active after the specified number of seconds entered after ed=.
